Well the launch of Clickbank Auto Profits is only a few days away and that is very exciting. Today I want to talk about your 5 year internet marketing plan. I am a big believer in planning ahead and being able to train yourself to see the big picture and not just the thing directly in front of you.
A lot of people would argue and say just focus on one thing at a time and while I agree that you should only work on one thing at a time as a newbie but this does not mean you cannot have a solid plan for the future and really know down to the last detail what it is you want to spend the next few years doing and in what direction you want to grow your business. I believe this helps cultivate the proper mindset for long term success online.

This is going to take you to your first sales and first solid stream of income. But I also know that you need multiple income streams in order to feel really secure with the income you make online.
So maybe you take the next year to really build up your affiliate efforts and get to a place where you can cut back your hours at your regular job or possibly quit altogether depending on how much money you need to replace each month in order to do so. But then I would say the next step would be to start a new project especially since you will have most of that income on complete autopilot a year in and will have the time to start something new. Not to mention the skills and overall confidence.
The next logical step might be to create your own information product and be able to have your own army of affiliates promoting your system. This will require a lot more work that being a pure affiliate but the profits can also be a lot higher. Imagine the feeling of pride knowing you have your own product and are really digging in and helping other people.
Creating your own product can be very satisfying and rewarding for some people but there are negatives to this as well so if you like being an affiliate but wanna ramp up your income another thing to think about would be trying to promote higher end items. Things like diamonds and expensive jewelry can fetch quite a nice commission and there are a lot of these programs. Or participating in more expensive internet marketing courses, there are courses out there that go for thousands of dollars and really, it takes the same skills and marketing to sell a $40 product as it does to sell a $2,000 product. It is all about who you are targeting. And obviously the income potential for these can be huge.
Another thing to consider is to start building a list and then selling to that list other products in the related field and niches. There is a saying "the money is in the list" and this can be very true as long as you go about it the right way. That will probably be a topic for a separate post at this point.
There are so many options which is very exciting so really think it over and consider making your own mental five year plan and setting goals accordingly. I guarantee this will make you more motivated and productive which will ultimately lead to being more successful overall.
